Material Handler / Driver at Volt in San Diego, California

Job Description:

Volt is immediately hiring a Material Handler / Driver for immediate employment in Downtown San Diego.

As a Material Handler / Driver you would:

• Receive, sort, store, issue, stage, move, dispatch, and ship materials, parts ,tools, assemblies in and out of Solar facilities as assigned.
• Determine the sequence of work order requirements necessary to comply with schedule requirements.
• Take necessary corrective action to prevent and/or cure shortages or delays.
• Provide data to cognizant departments as assigned.
• Maintain records necessary to show status of any job in assigned area at any time.
• Prepare necessary closeout documents upon completion
  of work order.
• Operate any material moving equipment, including two axle trucks, to move materials, parts, tooling, and assemblies to and from assigned destinations.
• Obtain necessary licenses and permits as required.
• Plan and execute the methods necessary for loading and unloading all types of vehicles used in the transportation of receiving and shipping material.

This position is working 2nd shift; 2pm - 10:30pm. It may require a few days of training on 1st. Position is temp for 15 months with the chance of going perm.

Requirements:

• 1 year of driving and warehouse experience
• Be able to clear a pre-employment 7 year criminal background check and drug screen
• Have a clean DMV record and valid / current drivers license

Pay Rate: $20-25/hr
