JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
Job Summary - Essential Functions/Duties Working under the direction of the ES&H supervisor, an ES&H Specialist II performs general environmental and/or safety support services, investigations, analyses, and other directed assignments as either a member of a team or as an investigator.
Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:
Assess and mitigate workplace hazards, perform studies and analysis, and workplace inspections
Conduct mishap and incident investigations and generate reports
Interpret applicable regulations and ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Air Force directives, and local safety policies and procedures
Identify and evaluate environmental or safety hazards and make recommendations for corrective actions
Participate in informal reviews, inspections, and audits using established procedures
Assist in the maintenance and inventory of equipment and systems
Analyze data gathered from literature or collected from investigations
Maintain familiarity with the statutory requirements related to the environmental, safety, and/or health regulations
Perform other job-related duties, as required
Range Position Description This position serves as a designated safety representative for the company. They will be responsible for influencing safe behavior and inspiring commitment on the part of all personnel.
Responsibilities:
Maintain OSHA compliance in all procedures and policies.
Primary trainer for following topics:
New-hire safety briefings
CPR/first aid
Personal Fall Arrest System
Combined Space
Lock Out Tag Out
Speak Up Listen Up (SULU)
Supervisor Training in Accountability and Recognition Techniques (START)
Flight-Line Drivers (classroom and practical)
Conduct accident, incident and near-miss investigations and recommend changes to management
Assist in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures
Inspect work sites to ensure working conditions are in compliance with OSHA standards and company policies
Check safety devices for proper working conditions
Attend safety meetings and provide safety briefings as requested
Maintain employee CDL certifications (schedule medical tests, schedule driving tests, ensure paperwork is updated at DMV and tracking of expiration dates)
All other duties assigned by management.
Requirements - Education, Technical, And Work Experience A bachelor's degree in an ES&H-related field (i.e., engineering, chemistry, biology, or other science) is preferred or an in-depth, working knowledge of the technical concepts, principles, and requirements associated with the work unit is required for this position. This knowledge and these skills may be obtained by graduation from a two- to four-year technical institute or college, or equivalent formal technical training or military equivalent, and six or more years of experience in a directly related technical working environment.
In addition, an ES&H Specialist II must possess the following qualifications:
Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Planning/organizational skills
Ability to work under deadlines
Ability to perform detail-oriented work.
The incumbent must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
SALARY The expected salary range for this position is $83,970 to $93,600 annually.
