Global Business Development Manager - Semiconductor at TSI
The Global Business Development Manager identifies and develops key opportunities in the semiconductor industry, focusing on contamination monitoring/particle characterization instrumentation that prevent defects. This role combines scientific or engineering expertise and business acumen to help accelerate the evaluation, adoption and integration of instruments into semiconductor manufacturing processes. This role within the marketing team works closely with customers and cross-functionally with sales, engineering and operations teams.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with TSI, you will be responsible for:
Business Development: Identify and engage with key enterprise global accounts, support evaluation and adoption of instruments, assisting sales in deal negotiations.
Technical Expertise: Translate complex scientific and technical information into easy-to-understand customer facing content. Provide scientific and technical guidance during instrument evaluations and customer meetings. Support escalated customer issues.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong customer relationships, serving as their main point of contact for evaluation and adoption of instrumentation.
Market Research & Strategy: Analyze semiconductor market trends and competition to inform business strategies and prioritization of target accounts.
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute global semiconductor business strategies and initiatives and support the setting of revenue targets, adjusting plans as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work within marketing and cross-functionally with sales, engineering and operations teams to drive instrumentation adoption and product development, based on evolving semiconductor market needs.
What Do You Need?
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or a related field
5+ years in business development or sales, preferably in enterprise semiconductor accounts, with a proven track record of success
Strong scientific background, excellent communication and negotiation skills, analytical problem-solving and an ability to work across cultures
Demonstrated commercial acumen, short/long term balance, curiosity, creativity, grit and leadership
Desired
Advanced technical degree or MBA
Hands-on experience with photolithography, etching, deposition, CMP, metrology or other semiconductor fabrication tools
Multilingual proficiency
*Travel required up to 50%, including international

Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $125,000 - $140,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
