Key Responsibilities
Operate a hydraulic power trowel to finish concrete.
Beable to adjust blade pitch and angle on a ride-on trowel.
Work with concrete crew on/around concrete forms, assisting with concrete pour and placements.
Work with buckets and pump truck to place concrete.
Finish concrete to meet horizontal tolerances and finish specs from hard trowel to heavy broom.
Use bull float, broom and different trowel machines to finish surface.
Patch horizontal and vertical concrete (class C to class A finish per ACI standards)
Wear respirator for grinding and other required operations (Silica Competent Person Training will be provided by McCarthy)
Skills & Qualifications
May be subject to a background check
Flexible schedule for work hours to accommodate pours that start at midnight around Greater Phoenix area.
Ability to use screeds and trowel float to smooth concrete.
Ability to ladders/stairs and tie-off to forms and lifts.
Experience with patching that meets ACI standards for horizontal and vertical applications.
Ability to run a vibrator and/or work the pump hose.
Hardworking individual with a positive attitude and great work ethic.
Required:
Must be capable of operating ride-on trowel and walk-behind.
Must be 18+ years or older
Commercial concrete finishing
Experience checking grades/elevations prior to and during pour to ensure FF&L tolerances are met.
