A well-established, rapidly growing law firm specializing in health insurance fraud litigation is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its team. With a fully remote structure and a strong paralegal support system, the firm focuses on complex, high-stakes fraud investigations on behalf of national insurance companies and health and welfare funds.
About the Firm
Practice Area: Civil litigation with an emphasis on insurance fraud defense and qui tam cases under California law.
Clientele: National insurance carriers and health and welfare funds.
Casework: Uncovering and litigating large-scale fraud schemes, including RICO cases in Texas.
Team Structure: Small, focused teams (typically 4-5 members per case) with hands-off management.
Work Environment: Fully remote with extensive collaboration via Zoom.
Firm Growth: Over 25% growth in the past year.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
California Bar admission required (most cases are in Los Angeles).
Experience in civil litigation, particularly in fraud, complex litigation, or insurance defense.
Strong legal writing skills and ability to work independently.
Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to manage cases with minimal oversight.
Depositions experience is highly valued; trial experience is a plus, though the firm primarily focuses on trial preparation.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 for Associates; $195,000 - $220,000 for Senior Attorneys.
Bonus Structure:
1850 billable hours required, with bonus eligibility at 1900 hours.
Robust bonus opportunities (billable and discretionary), paid in late February - early March.
