Job Description:
SUMMARY:
The Material Coordinator coordinates and expedites flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review production schedules and confers with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue and to locate material, requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material.
• Arranges for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, and with department
supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments, and examines material delivered to production departments to verify if type specified.
• Monitor and control movement of material and parts along conveyor system, using remote- control
panel board, compute amount of material needed for specific job orders, applying knowledge of product, and manufacturing processes and using adding machine.
• Compile report of quantity and type of material on hand, move or transport material from one
department to another, using hand or industrial truck; may compile perpetual production records to locate material in process of production, using manual or computerized system, and maintain employee records.
• Chooses, interprets, and adapts available guidelines (that often contain conflicting or ambiguous
instructions) to specific assignments, and recommends changes to those policies.
• Perform all the tasks not exclusive of those described in the job description section.
• All work is accomplished IAW with the applicable Army regulations, DA PAMs, Technical Manuals, Technical Bulletins, and Repair Manuals.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Must be able to devise steps necessary to complete tasks.
• Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, and work under deadlines.
• Excellent personal communication skills
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum requirements :
• Requires 3 years’ experience as a Material Coordinator
• Must have valid state driver's license and be able to maintain post driving privileges.
• Must be able obtain/maintain Common Access Card
• Must be U.S. citizen.
• Proficient with MS Office suite of programs
• Possesses analytical and research skills.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
• Working knowledge of current STAMIS supply systems.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails, and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources. Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to customers, internal and external, clients and other employees in the organization. Ability to interpret instructions and information and explain to others in the performance of this job in English.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must have the ability to work indoors or outdoors in bad weather. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop down and lift and carry Handle equipment/supplies weighing 30-50 pounds individually and occasionally items weighing in excess of 50 pounds with assistance. Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; and the manual dexterity to operate hand tools.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:
Job is performed indoors and outdoors and will be exposed to prevailing weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may vary from moderate to high, depending on location. Will work a 40- hour work week.
