Our client in the Food & Beverage industry is currently looking for a Workday Financials Manager to manage and maintain their existing ERP platform.

The Senior Manager - Workday Financials plays a crucial role in the continued transformation of our finance and accounting teams by advancing the use of accounting technology and financial reporting capabilities. This role requires experience with Workday report writing, maintenance of the Workday Foundation Data Model (FDM), expertise in system process improvement, knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. This role requires cross-functional collaboration between Accounting, FP&A, and IT teams to drive business transformation through automation, implement best practices, and ensure operational efficiency. This individual must develop a deep understanding of Workday FDM as it relates to us and its impact on financial reporting. Additionally, this person will serve as the subject matter expert for Workday report writing, responsible for the creation and ongoing maintenance of Workday reports and dashboards, while also providing cross-training to other finance team members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the Workday Financials system across all relevant modules, such as Financial Accounting (including Intercompany), Banking & Settlement, Procurement, Supplier Accounts, Business Assets, Employee Expenses, Projects, and Reporting.
Collaborate with team leads/controllers to effectively design, implement, and test system solutions that enhance accounting and finance processes.
Take ownership of the Workday FDM structure, ensuring that modification and enhancement requests are appropriately tracked, authorized, and executed in a timely and accurate manner.
Utilize knowledge of Workday FDM to apply solutions through calculated fields, condition rules, and configurations to address business challenges.
Ensure a comprehensive understanding of the impact of FDM changes, such as effective-dated changes to hierarchies and cost centers, on our reporting framework.
Design, build, configure, and test advanced, matrix, and composite Workday reports using the Workday Report Writer.
Conduct reporting audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
Partner with IT to manage the implementation of new features during Workday's semi-annual releases, including testing and uptake.
Produce clear, timely documentation, training materials, and knowledge sharing on Workday processes and best practices for both the systems team and the broader finance team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting, management, information systems, or a related field, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
A minimum of 2 years of experience with Workday Financials, either in an implementation, financial reporting, or administration role.
High level of initiative, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
Quick to learn new technologies through both formal instruction and self-directed training.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Ability to adapt and succeed in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
