With 30-35 indirect reports and 3 direct (with plans to expand under the new hire's leadership), this individual will play a critical role in transforming procurement capabilities, processes, tools, and systems while developing the team's strategic competencies.
Key Responsibilities
Drive net cost reduction strategies across indirect categories, ensuring clear P&L impact.
Lead the continued procurement transformation, optimizing people, processes, and systems.
Assess and develop team capabilities, supporting those who require additional strategic guidance.
Build and implement sourcing strategies for an untapped indirect spend category to drive efficiencies and savings.
Engage and influence C-suite stakeholders (CTO, CIO, CFO, Director of Sales & Operations) to align procurement objectives with business goals.
Strengthen stakeholder relationships, balancing well-established partnerships while also building credibility and impact in more challenging areas.
Provide strategic oversight on contract negotiations, supplier management, and risk mitigation across key indirect categories.
What We're Looking For
Proven track record in strategic indirect procurement, particularly in IT services & software, HR, real estate, and contract services.
Strong background in driving net cost reductions with clear P&L impact.
Experience leading procurement transformation, including process, technology, and team development.
Ability to influence at board level and drive executive alignment on procurement strategy.
Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing and developing mid to large teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a results-driven mindset.
Why Join?
Opportunity to lead and shape a high-value, high-impact procurement function.
Direct exposure to C-suite decision-makers in a role that blends strategy and execution.
A chance to transform and optimize an indirect procurement space that's largely untapped.
Competitive package, professional growth opportunities, and a culture of continuous improvement.
