ITS, LLC seeks a highly experienced and energetic Program Manager (SME) to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance for a 24/7 support and supervision capacity at the site of Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. This position is responsible for managing the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific contract objectives, ensuring consistency with company and U.S. Space Force strategy, commitments, and goals. The PM should have a background in military operations, management, budgeting, and project forecasting. The PM will be the central point of contact with the Government for the performance of all work under this contract and they should be able to interpret technical data, using a variety of methods and approaches to performing tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage and coordinate site maintenance and upkeep
Work to improve management processes and business systems that support project decision makers
Lead others and direct all phases of projects from inception through completion
Act as the primary point of contact for contract to establish key requirements and project objectives and will ensure that all control systems within the scope of the project are in place
Contribute to defining maintenance objectives and quality control measures
Implement and monitor goals and training objectives
Manage processes to track progress and completion of contract work and personnel readiness in accordance with established Performance Work Statement (PWS)
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scopes, schedules, and costs
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
Coordinate communication between all companies, Government agencies and Union Representatives as needed
Responsible for communicating with both internal and external customers in an effective manner
Ability to interact with customers and clients daily and troubleshoot potential problems as necessary
Ability to lead a diverse team and coordinate tasks of team members to ensure the goals of the project are met in a timely manner
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working as a Government Contractor or with contracts, DOD experience preferred
Solid organization skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, Office 365 Suite and SharePoint
Experience in Agile Management Strategies
Experience in status updates for SPO level review
Experience in Deliverables and Contract Management timeline
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience and PMP Certification.
Clearance Requirement:
TS/SCI Clearance Required with possibility of SAP/SAR in future needs
