The Director of Benefits oversees the organization’s US benefits strategy and philosophy. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role collaborates with leadership across the organization to align benefits with companies' values and culture. The role ensures effective and efficient operations for global benefits while optimizing Benefits investment. 

Location: Remote or any Harris office
 

Your Impact: 
 

  • Develops, maintains and scales global benefits strategies while providing benefits that meet the varied needs of employees, local regulations, company culture, and business requirements. 

  • Provides leadership and oversight of benefit vendors (i.e. brokers, consultants, insurance carriers, record-keepers), trustees and other administrative and/or legislative agencies; evaluates and recommends outside business partners based on performance and value. 

  • Oversees the integration and harmonization of benefits packages for organizations joining through acquisition. 

  • Utilizes data analytics to assess the effectiveness of benefit and pension programs and identify areas for improvement. 

  • Prepares and presents reports to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on total rewards strategies. 

  • Develops and manages cost-effective ways to attain and administer global benefit programs. 
     

What will make you stand out: 
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CEBS, CCP) preferred. 

  • 10+ years of experience in benefits management, with a focus on building and scaling business aligned benefit programs. 

  • Proven knowledge of US, Canada and global benefits best practices, regulations and trends. 

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across cultures and functions. 

  • Experienced at reviewing and assessing benefits packages from acquired companies, to recommend approaches to harmonize. 

  • Ability to work with other areas such as Legal, Finance, and HR. 

  • Strong focus on driving operational excellence through the develop of scalable administration processes and the utilization of appropriate technology solutions.
