Job Summary/Basic Function:


About This Role:



The Sociology Program seeks candidates qualified to teach courses at any level of instruction in the department curriculum. This is a part time, pooled position filled on an as-needed basis.



What You'll Do - Position Responsibilities:


  • Teach courses at assigned times using current pedagogical methods, keeping accurate records of students' grades.

  • Maintain effective and timely communication with students, chair of department, and composition director.





Key Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Ability to implement effective and innovative teaching strategies.




Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift 25 lbs and be able to perform a variety of physical tasks including lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, stair climbing and walking between buildings.

Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience):



  • Applicants should have an earned graduate degree in Sociology or other discipline relevant to teaching area.
