Join our team as a Program Analyst and take charge of driving excellence in our Engineering Process Quality Team. You'll spearhead critical initiatives, shape best practices, and ensure seamless project execution in collaboration with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Strategic Leadership: Lead and innovate in regional planning processes, navigating the complexities of the SPP Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT) and Business Practices.


  • Project Management: Own the lifecycle of projects from approval to completion, defining scope, managing risks, and ensuring deliverables exceed expectations.


  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with internal teams, management, and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth project coordination and alignment.


  • Process Optimization: Drive efficiency through the creation and maintenance of robust processes and procedures, setting benchmarks for operational excellence.


  • Effective Communication: Successfully communicate across all levels, from technical reports to high-stakes presentations, demonstrating clarity and influence in achieving project goals.

To be successful in the role we're looking for:


  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field or equivalent experience

  • Sr. Program Analyst Seven (7) years of job-related work experience

  • Program Analyst III - Five (5) years of job-related work experience 

  • Program Analyst II - Three (3) years of job-related work experience 

  • Formal or informal project management courses or significant project management experience

Preferred: 


  • Understanding of SPP Open Access Transmission Tariff, FERC and NERC governing documents, SPP By-Laws, SPP Criteria, and the SPP Committee structure

  • Experience in the electric utility industry, database management systems, data analysis and report writing

  • Experience with advanced decision-making in a multi-client environment

  • Advanced degree in related field of study

  • Technical writing experience

  • Policy creation/implementation experience 

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification 

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: 

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work week are Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Working extended hours may be required. 

Travel Requirement: 

This position requires some travel (0-10%)
