Description:

ATA Services, Inc is currently seeking to hire Physical Therapists to work on a temporary assignment with the State of New Mexico Department of Health - New Mexico Rehabilitation Center

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Pay Rate: $43.00 - $77.00 per hour depending on their level of knowledge and expertise, with weekly pay
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week
  • Shift Differential: Holiday work hours

Provide temporary staffing for availability of Occupational Therapists (OT), Physical Therapists (PT), Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), Speech Language Pathology Therapists (SLP), services to help support the Agency in Roswell, New Mexico as required to monitor and/or coordinate safe and quality care to all patients, clients and residents, on an on-going basis in accordance with terms that meet state-established licensing board standards and guidelines for their respective professions; and in accordance with a periodic work schedule as mutually agreed upon.

Physical Therapist (PT) Services:

  • Perform services to all patients admitted.
  • Conduct formal evaluations, developing a treatment plan based on findings and diagnosis to include measurable goals and objectives.
  • Provide necessary treatment or interventions including but not limited to: gait training, ambulation, endurance strengthening, wheelchair mobility, body mechanics, transfer techniques, ultrasound and aquatic therapy.
  • Provide the Administrator with timely, accurate and complete documentation of evaluations, progress notes and recommendations to Team Conference and patient charges.
  • Conduct training and in-service education as necessary to other healthcare employees, patients and relatives.
  • Comply with Agency policies and procedures, New Mexico State Laws and Federal Regulations.
  • Provide services as needed by Agency and requested by the Administrator, coordinating hours of service that are appropriate for patient care.
  • Provide Agency with proof of liability insurance and current copies of Physical Therapist licenses for those staff on-site for staffing. Therapist shall be licensed in the State of New Mexico.
  • Agency work schedule begins on Saturday and ends on Friday.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Services:

  • Perform services to all patients admitted.
  • Conduct formal evaluations, developing a treatment plan based on findings and diagnosis to include measurable goals and objectives.
  • Provide necessary treatment or interventions including but not limited to: self- care management, community reintegration, splinting, endurance strengthening, transfer techniques, ultrasound, aquatic therapy and adaptive equipment recommendations.
  • Provide the Administrator with timely, accurate and complete documentation of evaluations, notes, and recommendations to Team Conference and patient charges.
  • Agency work schedule begins on Saturday and ends on Friday.

Speech Language Pathology Therapist (SLP) Services:

  • Perform services to all patients admitted.
  • Conduct formal evaluations, developing a treatment plan based on findings and diagnosis to include measurable goals and objectives.
  • Provide necessary treatment or interventions including but not limited to: speech, language, cognitive and dysphasia.
  • Provide the Administrator with timely, accurate and complete documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and recommendations to Team Conference and patient charges.
  • Conduct training and in-service education as necessary to other healthcare employees, patients and relatives.
  • Comply with Agency policies and procedures, New Mexico State Laws and Federal Regulations.
  • Contractor will provide services as needed by the Agency and requested by the Administrator, coordinating hours of service that are appropriate for patient care.
  • Contractor will provide the Agency with proof of liability insurance and current copies of Speech Language Therapist licenses for those staff on-site for staffing. Therapist shall be licensed in the State of New Mexico.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Services:

  • Provides physical therapy treatments according to the physical therapist's treatment plan.
  • Contributes to physical therapist's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; providing information and commentary; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physical therapy directives.
  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily living activities; and in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
  • Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens, giving normal growth and development information; promoting wellness and health maintenance.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with Agency procedures, rules, and regulations, adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Maintains legal and accreditation compliance by adhering to policy positions concerning federal, state, and local regulations, and Joint Commission standards, anticipating emerging issues.
  • Provide Agency with proof of liability insurance and current copies of license/certifications. Therapist shall be licensed in the State of New Mexico
  • Agency work schedule begins on Saturday and ends on Friday. Some weekend and holiday work will be required.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Services:

  • Provides occupational therapy treatments according to the occupational therapist's treatment plan.
  • Contributes to occupational therapist's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; providing information and commentary; recommending options and courses of action; implementing occupational therapy directives.
  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Follows treatment plans developed by occupational therapist by teaching techniques that helps improve their quality of life by helping them compensate for their types of limitations.
  • Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens; giving normal growth and development information; promoting wellness and health maintenance.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with Agency procedures, rules, and regulations, adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
