Position Summary:
Intern will support marketing efforts for 24 Division I athletic teams at Villanova University.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee, plan and implement select fall, winter and spring sport marketing plans
Schedule game day elements that include but are not limited to anthem performers, halftime and time out performers, and color guard
Assist with game day operational responsibilities at all football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and other assigned games
Create and facilitate a digital marketing plan including development of email databases and social media graphics
Oversee and schedule the game day student volunteer program
Support student attendance and The Nation student fan group
Other administrative tasks as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director for Marketing
All duties and responsibilities must be completed in compliance with University, Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Willingness to learn
Exceptional customer service skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Passion for sports and marketing
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Team-oriented and must be willing to work irregular hours
Preferred Qualifications:
Sports marketing experience at either the professional or collegiate level
Experience using Adobe Photoshop
Social Media Management
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
Candidate must be willing to work holidays, weekends, and evening hours.
