The Role: Staff Product Designer We're seeking a visionary Staff Product Designer to join our product team and spearhead the creation of groundbreaking AI-powered educational experiences. This role is at the forefront of two critical frontiers:
Pushing the boundaries of AI interfaces in education
Revolutionizing our research, design, and build processes through AI to achieve unparalleled quality and speed
This position is based in our Lehi, Utah office, with a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Pioneer new interaction patterns for AI-driven educational tools
Design and implement AI-powered design systems, collaborating with engineering to create scalable, innovative UI solutions
Leverage AI to rapidly design and prototype UI hand in hand with engineering
Lead comprehensive user research and testing with diverse user types, including in-person classroom observations and virtual interactions
Conduct and analyze synthetic user research using AI-powered personas to augment real customer research
Collaborate closely with company leadership to drive and refine the north star vision of the platform
Lead design sprints and workshops to solve complex educational challenges
Mentor junior designers and contribute to our design culture
Publish innovative work regularly, sharing insights with the broader design community
What You'll Bring:
10+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on complex digital products
A portfolio showcasing innovative product design solutions and system-level thinking
Comfort with ambiguity and a passion for exploring uncharted design territories
Expertise in design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
Strong understanding of educational technology and learning science principles
Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions to diverse stakeholders
A strong curiosity to learn and master new tools and workflows to keep pace with the speed at which AI is transforming the landscape
