Job Title: Debt Collections and Skip Tracing Specialist (RV and Boat)

Job Summary: Our top Banking client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Debt Collections and Skip Tracing Specialist to join our collections team. This role involves managing debt collections for RV and boat loans and performing skip tracing to locate delinquent borrowers. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in debt collections and a willingness to learn and grow within the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct debt collection activities for RV and boat loans, including contacting delinquent borrowers to negotiate payment arrangements.
Perform skip tracing to locate borrowers who have defaulted on their loans.
Collaborate with the repossession and re-marketing team to recover and re-market assets.
Maintain accurate records of all collection and skip tracing activities.
Communicate effectively with borrowers, providing excellent customer service while adhering to regulatory requirements.
Assist in developing strategies to improve collection rates and reduce delinquencies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
Previous experience in debt collections or skip tracing is preferred but not required.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Proficiency in using computer systems and software for collections and skip tracing.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with RV and boat loan products.
Basic understanding of repossession and re-marketing processes.
Experience with customer service or call center operations.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
1-2 years of experience in debt collections, skip tracing, or a related field is preferred.
