Job Description:

The Director of Patient Access Analytics will contribute to business insights and analytics functions encompassing pharmacy copay, market access, and trade distribution transactions within Arcutis Biotherapeutics. The role involves leveraging insights from the data lake to drive strategy and optimize performance across identified commercial and patient access channels. The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Patient Services, Trade, Market Access Operations, Market Access, Finance, Commercial Operations, and Information Technology to ensure the effective use of insights in decision-making processes.

This remote position will report to the VP Channel and Patient Services. The candidate must live in the continental United States and be able to travel up to 15% or as business needs require (attend conferences, visit customers and attend company meetings).

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development of insights from primary source data to support measurable and actionable outcomes across pharmacy, trade, and market access channels.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholder on the team including patient services, trade relations, market access, and operations. The Director will help define priorities, set objectives, and guide the enablement of data insights across aspects of patient services and market access incorporating all appropriate data sources.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the Channel and Patient Services team and Digital & IT/Data Engineering teams to ensure the data lake infrastructure supports evolving business needs.
  • Partner with Finance, Commercial Operations, and Information Technology teams to ensure analytics efforts support broader business initiatives.
  • Align and analyze distribution and fulfillment transactions to optimize financial efficiency and allocation of limited resources.
  • Provide insights into managed care contract performance to enhance understanding of pull through and establish key performance indicators.
  • Track and report on patient access key performance indicators and suggest recommendations for improvements in strategies for operations.
  • Generate and present dashboard to senior leadership, offering data-driven insights on performance of patient access, distribution, and market access channel effectiveness.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial analytics, with a strong background in pharmaceuticals, preferably dermatology
  • Strong proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau) and experience working with large data lakes.

Skills

  • Deep understanding of commercial data strategy including decision support, analytics, and reporting
  • Strong proficiency in data analytics tools and experience working with large data lakes.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution, supply chain, copay, managed care, and trade agreements.
  • Excellent working knowledge of pharmaceutical channel operations in dermatology
  • Self-starter who can thrive in a competitive and fast-paced or high-pressure environment, who is able to effectively prioritize, balance multiple tasks, and work independently
  • Demonstrates appreciation for diversity of perspectives and approaches among peers
  • Ability to innovate and adapt with flexibility and resilience
  • Able to communicate effectively with different levels of management as well as with peers
  • Competency in utilizing analytical tools including SQL, Tableau, Veeva, & AWS
