We are seeking a Solutions Architect with a strong background in application architecture and experience in business process modeling to join our team. This role will focus on the Client Journey Project for a leading Fortune 500 investment firm. As an individual contributor, you will play a key role in architecting end-to-end solutions in a complex AWS environment, ensuring seamless integration across various systems and processes to enhance client experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and design end-to-end application solutions that align with business needs, focusing on optimizing the client journey.
Leverage your solutions architecture expertise to identify and resolve architectural challenges, ensuring scalability, security, and performance in an AWS environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business stakeholders, to model and improve business processes.
Create detailed architectural documentation, including technical specifications and system integration requirements.
Evaluate existing applications, services, and technologies to propose and implement innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Lead and support AWS cloud architecture design, including EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, and other AWS services.
Ensure compliance with company standards, including security, governance, and architecture best practices.
Act as a subject matter expert in application architecture vs. infrastructure architecture, offering guidance and recommendations to drive business value.
Participate in agile teams and contribute to continuous delivery and improvement efforts within the firm.
Travel occasionally to Owings Mills, MD, as needed, for key meetings or project updates. Open to fully remote for the right individual.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on application architecture over infrastructure.
Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, with expertise in designing and implementing scalable applications in an AWS cloud environment.
Strong experience in business process modeling and ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
Demonstrated ability to work on projects related to client experience and digital transformation.
Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, and RDS.
Familiarity with modern design patterns and practices, including microservices architecture.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously in a remote setup while collaborating effectively with remote teams.
