Under general supervision, perform a variety of routine and non-routine analytical, operational, and administrative duties to support both complex commercial and consumer loans. As a Document Imaging Specialist, your responsibilities are to manage the process of digitizing paper documents for storage in an electronic archive or database. Scan documents so that all information is visible on the digital image of the text for both commercial loan and consumer loan portfolios.
Essential Functions
Loan Operations
Responsible for managing the process of digitizing paper documents for storage in an electronic archive or database.
Preview loan packages prior to scanning and identify potential missing documents or other issues.
Ensure documents are legible and of sufficient quality for scanning.
Accurately scan daily work and loan files into the imaging system.
Research and respond to routine officer inquiries over the phone or in writing in a positive, respectful, and responsive manner.
Work closely with peers and other loan operations staff to enhance processes and best practices.
Assist in areas within the department as needed.
Compliance
Complete assigned compliance training on time and pass on the first attempt.
Actively participate in community activities to enhance the Bank's image, visibility, and to reinforce the Bank's commitment to CRA (community reinvestment).
Maintain a working knowledge of bank regulations. Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Bank policies, procedures, and regulations.
Performance Measurements
Adhere to regulatory compliance requirements; identify and correct potential compliance issues.
Ability to articulate regulations applicable to the job and demonstrate behaviors that exhibit compliance with those regulations.
Maintain good business relations with customers and promote the bank's professional reputation at all times.

Requirements:
Effective verbal and written communications skills, including customer service skills.
Ability to operate a personal computer, including specialized software packages.
Ability to prioritize work; ability to interpret and follow departmental procedures and implement bank policies in an independent manner.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with document imaging systems preferred.
Two years of banking experience, operations, or loan background preferred.
Knowledge of loan servicing practices, methods, and procedures for accurate processing of loan documents preferred.
Education
High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
