Perform routine preventive maintenance and occasional troubleshooting, to ensure that production equipment continue run smoothly and operate efficiently. Perform electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic repairs. Install and/or replace equipment. Apply and follow TPS/Lean principles, and perform all functions with a strong emphasis on internal customer satisfaction and support to manufacturing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Perform regular preventive maintenance on production equipment and tooling.
Troubleshoot issues and provide unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
On-call support for emergency repairs essential for continued production.
Adhere to safety procedures for all plant activities relating to the operation of production equipment.
Assist in the monitoring and guidance of maintenance and repair work performed by outside contractors and service providers.
Attend necessary training seminars and/or hands-on training on an as needed basis, to increase knowledge and understanding of equipment repair and maintenance.
Initiate, complete, and properly document service requests and work orders using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Collaborate with Operations, Quality and Engineering on continuous improvement projects.
Perform other assignments as required and determined by the needs of the business.
Performs typical maintenance tasks to support the production floor and the entire facility.
Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, test and make adjustments.
Performs a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.

Must have a high level of mechanical aptitude.

Have simple machinist skills, at a minimum.
Experience with the use of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Experience with the installation, maintenance and repair of equipment/machines with computer interfaces.
Adaptable to a fast-paced environment, with the ability to handle multiple assigned tasks and priorities.
Strong problem solving skills, detail oriented and thorough.
Strong data-based decision making skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize assigned tasks according to company goals and objectives.
Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management/personnel, be a team player and be able to build rapport/credibility.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required. Knowledge of CMMS software applications is a plus.
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED. Apprenticeship, completion of a technical school program, Associates degree or technical certificate in maintenance is a plus.
4+ years of related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience, is preferred.
4+ years technical experience in the electronics, medical device, automotive or aerospace manufacturing industries is a plus.
