The Engine Harness Development Engineer duties include, but are not limited to designing, prototyping and documenting engine, transmission, and electrified powertrain wiring harnesses to be used in dynamometer test cells.
The engineer's responsibilities also include organizing and overseeing the building of such harnesses (both in-house and outsourced to a supplier), checking for errors, verifying operation, controlling inventory, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that appropriate corrective actions are made.
The Engine Harness Development Engineer will be expected to be able to read and interpret device transmittal information and be able to utilize that information to efficiently design wiring harnesses for dynamometer testing.
The engineer will be required to interface with a network of product development engineers to gather required electrical information, work with in house technicians and third party suppliers to build harnesses to spec and engage in multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to design and modify electrical circuits
Ability to troubleshoot and correct wiring related issues
Familiarity with electrical noise mitigation, proper grounding, shielding, etc.
Comfortability with working on multiple projects in a fast paced environment
