SA-TECH supports the U.S. Army Sustainment Command's Enhance Army Global Logistics Enterprise Logistics Support Services at Schofield Barracks, HI. We provide maintenance services in the form of above-brigade-level, field, sustainment, and limited depot-level maintenance support as well as transportation counseling services and handling passenger, equipment, and cargo movements for Army Field Support Battalion Hawaii's (AFSBn-HAW) assigned tactical units and government affiliated civilian agencies.
We are seeking to hire an Instrument Mechanic (Armament) to join our Maintenance Division in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii to perform detailed disassembly, assembly, inspection, repairs and overhaul of Small Arms and Artillery Weapons Systems (mounted, towed and motorized). This position is assigned to the Maintenance Division and works under the general guidance and supervision of the Maintenance Control Supervisor.
Primary Functions:
Diagnose deficiencies and malfunctions.
Examine parts and components for serviceability.
Test mechanisms for defects.
Identify repair parts.
Perform repairs and routine maintenance on Small Arms and Artillery Weapons Systems.
Perform operational checks of repaired equipment to assure safety and accuracy that will meets the needs to fulfill technical specifications.
Proper housekeeping of work area and may be assigned to support contract requirements in a job-related area such as environmental, safety and security.
Work Conditions:
Will be required to report to customer locations for weapons gauging on USAG-HI sites.
May be needed to work overtime periodically when required and regular work hours may, with proper notification, be adjusted to meet contract requirements.
Requirements:
Education/Experience/Skills
High School diploma or equivalent.
Special training through vocational or military schooling or at least three (3) years of applicable experience
Must possess knowledge of the tools (i.e. hammers, punches, files, stones, etc.) and gauges needed to perform assigned duties in accordance with applicable Technical Manuals (TM), Technical Bulletins (TB), Modification Work Order (MWO) and other written/verbal directives and procedures.
Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must able to read specifications, diagrams, use precision gauges, test instruments and alignment devices; ability to prepare DA Form 2404/2407-1 per AR 750-1.
Current Hawaii Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain and maintain a federal Secret clearance.
All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
