Senior Data Analyst - Power BI Specialist



We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst with strong Power BI expertise to support critical process improvements within the energy sector. This role will focus on enhancing data visualization, analytics, and safety tracking by developing robust Power BI dashboards and performing advanced data analysis.

Key Responsibilities




80% - Power BI Development & Data Analysis

• Develop and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights.


• Extract, cleanse, and transform data from sources such as SAP, SharePoint, SQL, Snowflake, and Dataverse.


• Utilize DAX and SQL queries to implement custom calculations and advanced analytics.


• Implement ETL processes within Power BI to ensure data integrity and consistency.


• Conduct statistical analysis to identify trends and drive data-driven decision-making.

20% - Stakeholder Collaboration & Requirement Gathering

• Work closely with business teams to understand reporting needs and align solutions with project goals.


• Translate complex data into clear, meaningful visualizations for non-technical stakeholders.


• Provide recommendations to improve data accessibility and reporting efficiency.

Required Technical Skills



✔ Advanced Power BI Expertise (6+ years) - Dashboard development, report automation, and platform optimization.
✔ DAX & SQL - Strong ability to create custom measures and calculations.
✔ ETL & Data Cleansing - Experience with Power BI ETL processes (open to other ETL tools).
✔ Statistics & Data Analysis - Ability to perform in-depth analytics across multiple data sources.
✔ Dataverse Experience - Preferred but flexible based on experience.
✔ Python (Nice to Have) - Flexibility for additional data processing needs.




Project Overview & Business Impact



This initiative focuses on improving safety tracking and optimizing key data processes. The insights and reporting developed will enhance visibility into safety metrics, enabling more informed decision-making.
