IT Infrastructure PM (IT/Construction) - Onsite Nashville


Innova Solutions is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee civil engineering projects at the Nashville International Airport. This role requires close collaboration with Project Engineers and System Engineers, reporting directly to IT leadership while embedding with the Engineering Department to ensure project success and compliance with IT standards.

  Duration: Longterm engagement with 2+ year project timelines.

  Ideal Candidate Background: Experience as an IT Project Manager in the engineering or construction industries, and/or significant experience on construction projects that incorporate IT infrastructure.

  This position is strategic in nature, requiring a balance of planning and collaboration, with a focus on aligning current decisions with future airport needs and evolving technologies.
  
• 
  Familiarity with network infrastructure, data storage, and related IT systems is highly beneficial.
  
• 
  The IT Project Manager will work closely with engineering teams and architects, contributing to the airport's expansion efforts.
  

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage strategic IT projects aligned with organizational goals.
• Provide regular updates on project progress and strategies to stakeholders.
• Ensure IT components of all projects comply with established standards and regulations.
• Organize and lead coordination meetings between the Engineering and IT teams.
• Evaluate and oversee IT aspects of capital projects, ensuring alignment with company standards.
• Supervise engineering and architectural design, contract administration, and project scheduling to meet time and budget requirements.
• Perform quality control reviews, constructability checks, and compliance with prevailing wage laws.
• Provide recommendations for construction related challenges.
• Design and implement IT and security solutions, including data centers, cloud based systems, and on premises servers.
• Collaborate with technical and nontechnical teams to build strong working relationships.
• Conduct site observations, maintain adherence to safety standards, and ensure deliverables meet company requirements.

Required:

• Experience in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related IT field, with 4-7 years of experience.
• 2-4 years of commercial building or heavy highway construction experience.
• Proficiency in low voltage cabling systems, cellular/Wi-Fi systems, and carrier circuit installation.
• Familiarity with network architecture and system deployment.

Preferred:

• 7-10 years of related experience.
• Advanced IT knowledge, including networking equipment, Microsoft Windows Server platforms, and cloud infrastructure.

Example Projects:

• Installation of 250+ security cameras.
• Implementing data services and storage solutions.
• Redesigning two internal data centers.
