As a stormwater engineering designer, you’ll prepare hydraulic and hydrology studies, drainage reports, develop documents, and design plans for water resources projects. You`ll assist in producing the drainage plans and prepare technical writing documents for infrastructure, roadway surface drainage systems, and municipal storm sewers. The stormwater engineering designer reports to the water resources project manager.
Salary Range $81,000-103,000
Responsibilities
Review project design and reports and assist with project managment and scheduling for stormwater projects
Perform H&H analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience
Prepare construction plans and specifications as well as technical memorandums and reports
Develop probable construction cost estimates for projects
Observe construction and coordinate with contractors
Coordinate work with other disciplines such as roadway, geotechnical, structures, etc
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil, Environmental or a related engineering discipline.• Minimum four years of stormwater, H&H, and drainage experience.• Professional Engineer (PE) License • Proficiency in Civil3D, GIS and AutoCad software.•This hybrid job operates between an office environment and a field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copy machines. May require occasional exposure to work environments that may include inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements.•While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling. This job may occasionally require operating a company vehicle, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
